Big foot

BIG FOOT:

Bigfoot (also known as Sasquatch) is the name given to a simian-,ape-, hominid-, or Hominin-like creature that is said to inhabit forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of North America. Bigfoot is usually described as a large, hairy, bipedal humanoid. The term sasquatch is an Anglicized derivative of the Halkomelem word sásq'ets.
Most scientists discount the existence of Bigfoot and consider it to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoax, rather than a living animal, because of the lack of physical evidence and the large numbers of creatures that would be necessary to maintain a breeding population.

Bigfoot Habitat:
Bigfoot has been sighted throughout North America, mainly in the United States and Canada. About a third of all sightings have been in the Pacific Northwest in the states of Washington, Oregon, Northern California, and British Columbia, Canada. It is said that its relatives can be found around the world with such names as the Yeti, the Yaren, the Almas, the Yowie and many more.

Bigfoot Sightings

Thousands of people have reported seeing a creature with the descriptions of Bigfoot. Witnesses often report seeing the creature and describe it with many similarities and in similar locations. Bigfoot reports are generally in areas with low human population and in places that have an annual rainfall in excess of 20 inches. Experts say that eyewitness reports are very unreliable and should be treated with caution. It is often thought that eyewitnesses could be mistaking a bear standing on its hind legs for Bigfoot. The majority of sightings occur where bears do exist. Experts say that 70 to 80 percent of Bigfoot sightings are not real and that most are either a hoax or a misidentified animal.
Forms of Shelter
Nest type structures have been found throughout many areas. These nests often consist of sticks and branches with a soft lining of moss. It is thought that these structure could have been built by Bigfoot as a place to sleep or rest.
Diet:
The sasquatch is an omnivore with a substantial carnivorous component to its diet. They have been observed directly to eat leaves, berries, fruits, roots, aquatic plants and other vegetable matter, catch fish, dig up clams or ground squirrels, and prey on poultry, deer, elk and bear.
